Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Loom app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Swastik Sharma (collectively, the "Application"). Swastik Sharma is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

• Your device's Internet Protocol address
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
• Your mobile operating system
• Your name, email address, age, and gender (provided during account registration)
• Profile photo (provided during onboarding)
• Wardrobe images and photographs of clothing items captured or uploaded by you
• AI-generated metadata about your clothing (category, colour, material, fit type)
• Location data (used to fetch local weather for outfit recommendations)
• Device ID

Camera and Photo Library Access

The Application requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to allow you to scan and upload garment images. These images are processed to generate ghost mannequin visuals and AI-generated wardrobe tags. Images are stored securely and are not shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to support functionality and service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.

Location Information

• Location data is used to fetch current weather conditions relevant to your location and suggest contextually appropriate outfits.
• The Application does not store precise location history. Location is fetched in real time and not retained beyond the active session.
• Location data may be shared with third-party weather or mapping services solely to fulfil this functionality.

Artificial Intelligence

The Application uses AI technologies to provide personalised styling recommendations and wardrobe tagging. Specifically:

• Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash): Used to analyse garment images and generate tags (category, colour, material, occasion suitability) and to power the AI Stylist chat feature. Data is processed in accordance with Google Cloud's privacy terms.
• The New Black AI: Used to generate ghost mannequin product-style images from garment photos you upload. Images are transmitted to The New Black AI's servers for processing and returned to the Application. Their CDN URLs are temporary and expire within 48 hours.

All AI processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws.

Third Party Access

The Application uses the following third-party services which may receive your data as necessary to provide their functionality:

• Expo — Application framework and build infrastructure
• Supabase — Database and authentication backend. User account data, garment metadata, schedules, and outfit data are stored on Supabase servers.
• Google Cloud / Vertex AI — AI processing of garment images and stylist chat.
• The New Black AI — Ghost mannequin image generation from garment photos.

The Service Provider may disclose user information as required by law, when necessary to protect rights or safety, or with trusted service providers who have agreed to adhere to this privacy policy.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact the Service Provider at loomapp7@gmail.com. You may also delete your account and all associated data directly within the app under Profile → Delete Account.

Data Retention

• User account and wardrobe data: Retained for the duration of your use of the Application plus 12 months, unless longer retention is required by law.
• Automatically collected data: Retained for up to 24 months.
• Aggregated and anonymised data: Retained indefinitely.
• AI-processed garment images: Retained on Supabase storage until you delete the garment or your account.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact loomapp7@gmail.com and the information will be deleted promptly.

Indian Users — Information Technology Act

The Application complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 as applicable. Sensitive personal data collected (including photographs and location) is used only for the stated purposes and is not sold to third parties.

Security

The Service Provider implements physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured servers.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, the Service Provider will notify affected users in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Changes to This Policy

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting the Service Provider or uninstalling the Application.
